From Our Kitchen to Yours
Favorite Recipes
Simple, delicious ways to enjoy what we grow — straight from the Stoub family kitchen. These are the dishes we actually make at home with our own harvest.
What to Make With Fresh Corn
When the sweet corn comes in early July, these are the first two recipes we reach for. Both are easy enough for a weeknight and good enough for a cookout.
🌽 Sweet Corn · Summer Favorite
Mexican Street Corn
Our favorite dish when we bother to cook it! Charred sweet corn with creamy, spicy, tangy toppings — there’s a reason this is a summer staple. Best made with corn picked that same day.

Southern Fried Corn
Southern fried corn? Yes please! Butter, bacon, and fresh-cut kernels in a skillet — it doesn’t get more comforting than this. A Stoub family go-to when the corn is peaking.

🌽 Sweet Corn · Fresh & Quick
Fresh Corn Salsa
No cooking required — just corn straight off the cob, tomato, red onion, and a squeeze of lime. We make a batch the same day we pick and it’s usually gone before dinner. Great with chips or spooned over tacos.

🌽 Sweet Corn · Cozy Favorite
Creamy Corn Chowder
When the weather turns, this is what we’re making. Sweet corn, potatoes, and bacon simmered into something warm and filling — the kind of soup that disappears fast around our table.

That’s why farm-fresh corn from our stand tastes completely different from the grocery store. If you can’t cook it right away, keep it in the husk in the fridge.
Fresh-Picked Strawberry Recipes
When you bring home a Busket of strawberries from our U-Pick field, here’s what to do with them — besides eating them straight from the container (which we fully support).
🍓 Strawberries · The Classic
Classic Strawberry Shortcake
The reason strawberry season exists. Tender homemade biscuits, macerated berries, and a mountain of whipped cream. Nothing fancy — just the real thing done right.

Easy Strawberry Freezer Jam
The easiest way to keep summer going all year. No canning equipment needed — just fresh berries, sugar, and pectin. Make a batch after your U-Pick visit and enjoy homemade jam through the winter.

Blend fresh strawberries with lemon juice, sugar, and cold water for the ultimate summer refresher. Our kids request this every single picking day. Best served ice-cold in the shade.

🍓 Strawberries · No-Cook · 5 Minutes
Strawberries & Cream
Sometimes the simplest thing is the best thing. Slice fresh strawberries, sprinkle with a little sugar, let them sit 15 minutes, and serve with whipped cream. That’s it. That’s the recipe.

Store them unwashed in a single layer in the fridge and they’ll keep for 3–5 days. If you picked more than you can eat, slice them and freeze flat on a cookie sheet, then transfer to a zip-lock bag. They’ll be perfect for smoothies and jam all winter.

Perfect Stovetop Popcorn
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a heavy pot, add 3 kernels, and wait. When they pop, add ⅓ cup of our kernels, cover, and shake gently until popping slows. Season immediately with butter and salt. That’s movie night done right.

Favorite Seasoning Combos
Our family’s go-to flavors: butter + garlic salt (classic), parmesan + black pepper (date night), cinnamon + sugar (kid approved), and ranch seasoning + a squeeze of lime (trust us on this one).

Homemade Caramel Corn
Our popcorn pops up light and crisp, which means more surface area for that buttery caramel coating. Baked low and slow until every kernel is coated. Fair warning: it doesn’t last long in our house.
